چکیده

Peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCLs) are rare neoplasms that recently have been the subject of much research into their complex pathophysiology. PTCLs a heterogeneous group tumors consisting nodal and extranodal leukemic cutaneous neoplasms. associated with biology arduous pathology which is currently being studied. According to this research, pathophysiology can be divided intrinsic extrinsic mechanisms. Among mechanisms, scientists described JAK-STAT pathway deregulation, as well different somatic mutations including RB1, PTEN, TP53 structural changes receptors. Also, there scientific papers correlate Epstein-Bárr virus or human lymphotropic type 1 infections occurrence neoplasm. most likely develop in Asian African populations. Due poor clinical outcomes, PTCL treatment intense research. As result that, new drugs approved by Food Drug Administration for use among patients refractory PTCL: pralatrexate, an antifolate drug; romidepsin, belinostat, inhibitor histone deacetylase, brentuximab vedotin, CD30 antibody. trials mogamulizumab carried out treatment. In addition this, lenalidomide, substance regulates immune system has shown antineoplastic effect several hematological studies, could possibly considered

Peripheral T-cell lymphomas.

The development of T cells from stem (progenitor) cells to effector cells results from a two-wave process of proliferation and differentiation. The cells of the first differentiation wave are the precursor T cells, and those of the second differentiation wave are peripheral T cells. In the first differentiation wave, resting/circulating naive antigen-reactive T lymphocytes are produced which di...

Immunophenotyping of Nodal Peripheral T-cell Lymphomas and its Association with Epstein-Barr Virus

Background: Immunophenotyping in the rare group of nodal Peripheral T-cell Lymphomas (PTCL) exposes interesting features such as T-cell marker downregulation and paradoxically, the presence of reactive, clustered large-sized CD20 positive B-cells (B-cell proliferation). Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) has been suggested as a putative etiology in pathogenesis of B-cell lymphoma. We aimed to review the ...

Pathobiology of peripheral T-cell lymphomas.

Peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTLs) are uncommon, accounting for fewer than 10% of all non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Success in therapy of the PTLs has lagged behind that of aggressive B-cell lymphomas, and most PTLs have a poor prognosis. The molecular pathogenesis of most PTLs is also poorly understood. In the WHO classification, clinical features, in conjunction with morphological and immunophenotyp...

Peripheral t-cell lymphomas: progress and challenges

Peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCLs) represent a complex group of diseases that remain a management challenge today. Although CHOP (cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine and prednisone) is considered the standard therapy, outcomes are disappointing and relapses are frequent. Therapeutic progress has lagged behind that for the more common and aggressive B-cell lymphomas. With disease rarity,...

Peripheral T-cell lymphomas: an historical perspective.

Peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCL) remain largely unexplored due to disease rarity and biological heterogeneity as well as relatively recent recognition in modern classification systems. Before 1970, classifications of non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas (NHL) were based on morphology. The discovery of distinct T-, Band natural killer (NK)–cell lineages led to two immunologically based classification syste...
